Curriculum
Our students experience a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum which seeks to ensure that their learning is continually built upon and knowledge is deepened.
The courses offered enhance attainment and achievement by challenging students to develop insight and independence of thought.
When students join the school in Year 9, our focus is to allow them to personalise their curriculum early on to enable them to pursue their interests. All students have an interview with a member of SLT to support them in making their option choices. The core curriculum of Maths, English, Science and RE continues throughout Key Stage 4 to the end of Year 11. Students also study a Humanities subject together with a language in Y9 to ensure breadth of study alongside a selection of option subjects from both GCSE/BTEC qualifications.
