We place a high priority and have high expectations for all students with regard to attendance and punctuality; a positive attendance will promote students' opportunities for success both in and outside of the classroom, enabling them to achieve their full potential and develop lifelong skills.

A student absence must be reported to the Attendance Officer by 8.45AM latest, each and every morning of absence via the Studybugs app.  Please register with Studybugs by clicking HERE.  In the event that we have not heard from a parent/carer, we will make contact via text or phone call as soon as possible.  A home visit might also be conducted to ensure welfare and offer support.

The Attendance Officer will offer avenues of support to remove barriers impacting attendance and will take a proactive approach to work with parents/carers and their child to ensure attendance in school is positive.

Student absence levels are closely monitored and communicated to parents.  The school works closely with Worcestershire Children First (WCF) and there may be occasions where we are required to inform WCF regarding a student’s absence.

If you have any concerns regarding factors that might have a negative impact on a student's attendance/punctuality, please contact the Attendance Officer - Ms L Harbun, or your child's Head of Year who will offer support and implement a range of support strategies.

We will celebrate positive attendance throughout the school year.
