Year 11 students at Saint Augustine’s Catholic High School are once again celebrating outstanding results. An amazing 83% of students achieved a 9-4 in English and Maths, equivalent to an A*-C. In a cohort of 221 pupils there were 107 of the new grade 9’s, the highest grade on offer. Success was strong across all subject areas, both academic and vocational supporting all students on the next stage in their journey into sixth form or apprenticeships.

Mr Gerald O’Connor, Head of School, comments:
‘I would like to congratulate all the students for the way that they have risen to the challenge of the new qualifications, they never fail to amaze me. They have not only demonstrated that they have developed the determination and resilience to succeed but have done this with a spring in their step. Again, a huge thank you must go out to all the parents and staff who have expertly guided and supported the students on their journey. These superb results are a strong foundation for moving on to our outstanding sixth form, we are also looking forward to welcoming other equally minded and hardworking students who want to join the Saint Augustine’s success story.’
