Welcome to Saint Augustine’s Catholic High School
I am delighted to welcome you and your child to St Augustine’s Catholic High School. My belief is that we should inspire all children to strive to be their best and in the words of St Catherine of Siena, “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire”. We are focused on developing the whole child, so that by the time they reach adulthood, they have become fully rounded individuals who have reached their academic and personal potential with a strong sense of morality, reflection and spiritual embracement.
Here is the link welcoming you to St Augustine’s Catholic High School. We hope you enjoy the video and are able to get a look and feel to our school.
Next week, you will be advised the name of your Form Tutor and each Tutor will post a video welcoming you to their class. We will also send out a map of the school and a FAQ list compiled from conversations that we have had following the SLT phone calls.
Should you have any further questions, please direct them to Ms Mason at email@example.com
Transitioning to Year 9 - Your Subject Choices
Before you begin your time at Saint Augustine's Catholic High School, alongside the core curriculum, you will also need to choose the subjects that you wish to study at GCSE. You will have already received details of the courses available to you. However, to help with those decisions, our staff have made some welcome videos and further information about your options for you to have a look at. In addition, there are some transition taster tasks for you to sample at home - please have a go!
Our hope is that the introductory videos and tasks will help you make the right option choices. However, if there are any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the lead teachers and Heads of Department for those subjects who will answer any queries you may have.
All contact details can be found in the curriculum pathways booklet.
