Our Values: Gospel Values
Students at Saint Augustine’s Catholic High School are growing to be….
Faithful in their relations with others and with God; displaying integrity at all times. Doing what is right, because it is right.
Compassionate towards others, near and far, especially the less fortunate; and working to protect the Dignity of all.
A person of humility grateful for their own gifts; for the gift of other people and for the blessings of each day; and gentle with their gifts, becoming men and women for others.
Truthful in what they say of themselves and others in the pursuit of justice.
Forgiving of the deeds of others and oneself with the desire to show mercy by finding God in all things.
Pure in heart so they can see God; living a life of holiness and total devotion to serving Jesus Christ by living his teaching to treat others as we would want to be treated.
Tolerant in their acceptance of the diverse nature of society whilst seeking to be instruments of peace.
Pupils of service to imitate the ‘Servant King’; advocating the call to sacrifice by using their God given talents to help others.
The values highlighted in colour come directly from The Beatitudes (Matthew 5-7) which start the Sermon on the Mount.
Our School values are the Gospel Values: the principles taught by Jesus Christ in the Beatitudes (Luke 6:2-26)
Our actions, words and thoughts are centred upon these values.
Our school motto is: Deus Fortitudo Mea – God is my Strength.
Our school Mission Statement is: ‘A Christ-centred learning community committed to the development of the whole person.’
