Young Enterprise
St Augustines is a strong supporter of Young Enterprise, which links professionals from local businesses to companies managed and run by our Sixth Form Students. The students are able to form their own business and manage it from conception through to a sucessful business, generating profit and dividends for the sharholders! It's a great way to learn key skills such as business development, sales, marketing, production and fiance and all in a controlled environment.
What is Young Enterprise?
Young Enterprise is a registered charity with the sole purpose of trying to inspire young people to learn key business skills through running their own sucessful business enterprise. St Augustine's has supported this approach for over 15 years as part of our enrichment programme of school activities. By taking part in Young Enterprise you will gain knowledge and skills that are directly relevant to real life business. You will be able to work in teams to set-up and run your own businesses, putting into practice key skills such as leadership, productions, sales, marketing, fulfilment and business fianece. It's a controlled and fun way to expereince running your own business and you will have tyhe support of your very own business advisor too!
Not only is Young Enterprise fun but you will be able to add an extra dimension to your CV or University application too. Prospective employers and Universities are likely to look very favorably upon those who have taken the time to suppliment their A Level studdies with additional skills.
