A message from the Principal
Welcome to St Augustine’s Catholic High School. Our website gives you a glimpse of what makes our School special.
We are first and foremost a Catholic school and as such aim to be a ‘Christ-centred learning community committed to the development of the whole person’. Whilst ensuring places for students belonging to the Catholic faith tradition, we embrace and welcome students of other faiths.
We are proud to be a community committed to achieving personal and academic excellence for all students, to promoting respect for the individual and to building community through offering a wide range of extra curricular, sacramental and prayer opportunities and experiences. We are concerned with the Common Good and work hard to achieve a sense of service in students so that they leave us ready to take their place in the adult world as responsible and active young people.
Since the acquisition of Science Specialism in 2006, we are committed to ongoing develoments in teaching and learning, curriculum innovation and community links We are proud of consistently achieving one of the highest CVA scores KS2-KS4 in the country and for the last two years achieving the highest point score per student at A2 level in the County. We are also particularly proud of our Music, PE and Drama Departments. All have received accolades throughout the County and the West Midlands for their excellence in extra curricular activities.
Education at St Augustine’s combines traditional values with high expectations of personal achievement. Students are encouraged to strive to achieve their personal best academically and personally and to partake in and enjoy the extra-curricular activities offered. High standards of behaviour, courtesy and respect for others is expected and achieved. We aspire to lead our students into adulthood as fully rounded individuals and moral and spiritual citizens who enjoy life and all it offers whilst enriching the lives of others.
Please take a look at our website and enjoy a brief insight into St Augustine’s. Do not hesitate to contact the school should you have any further questions and should you wish to arrange a visit you will be warmly welcomed.
Kind Regards,
Mrs Brennan BA Dip Ed
