Mobile Phones 4 Us Appeal
Did you know that the average UK household has two unwanted or unused mobile phones?!
We are working alongside a company called Foneclub on a mobile phone recycling initiative which will raise funds to go towards the school.
The scheme is very straightforward, and Foneclub will pay £2.50 for any handset that is received from us, regardless of age or condition (charger not required!). We are therefore asking if parents, friends and family could kindly search the cupboards and drawers for those unwanted mobile phones and pop them in the bag provided to return back to school.
Recycling with Foneclub not only raises money for our School but helps protect the environment!
Students can drop off their mobile phones in the wooden collection box located in the Lobby during breaks or lunch time.
Need another bag? Students can ask their form teacher for another bag or pick one up in the Lobby beside the box.
Did you know that?
- On average, people in the UK upgrade their mobile phone every 18 months, but less than 5% of
- mobile phones are recycled.
- There’s enough gold in 50 mobiles to make one gold wedding ring
- One misplaced mobile phone battery could potentially pollute 600,000 litres of water!
- For every 100 phones the school will receive £250!
