Support and Core Values

Our strong tutorial team of tutors work alongside the Principal and the Assistant Principal and Head of Sixth Form to provide academic and pastoral support throughout your study with us.  A Learning Support Mentor is available to guide and support you in establishing effective learning and organisational skills.

Life in the Sixth Form at our school builds on the core values and principles of the school as a whole, which means that we are first and foremost a Catholic 6th Form. Our Sixth Form students enjoy some of the best school facilities and results in Worcestershire, have a wide choice of A Level courses to choose from and consistently get the best results in Redditch!

We are proud of our achievements in being able to support our students as they mature into adults by proving strong teaching mentorship, support in developing key life skills, providing career guidance and a comprehensive range of extra curricular activities. All of this is underpinned by our Catholic faith, a strong sense of belonging and our desire to support a strong community

We offer a wide variety of AS and A2 Level courses designed to further your education and get you on the right track towards your chosen career or profession. Please browse through the Departmental pages on this web site to get an overview of the courses on offer and feel free to talk to the teachers in each department to get a feel for the courses that are right for you.

In general we support an approach that would see each of our Sixth Form Students taking 4 AS level courses during year 12. Some of these courses will see students entered into examinations in the January following the start of the course. This will be a challenging time for students and extra effort will be required to keep up the pace.

Once AS Level exams have taken place Students will be fully focused on their A2 level courses until the end of term in July. AS Level results will be available in August and will give students the opportunity to reflect on their results and make decisions about their second year of A Level study.

Extra Curricular Activities

We believe that life outside of study is important! That's why we support a range of enrichment activities such as Young Enterprise, The Duke of Edinburgh Award, The School Musical etc. We also have a Sixth Form entertainment committee that is responsible for planning and preparing events such as the Christmas Party, The Sixth Form BBQ, St Augustine's Day and the Year 13 Proms amongst many others!

Getting the right work-life balance is an important skill to understand and we support the opportunity for our Sixth From students to have a healthy social life. Being able to unwind and relax in the company of your friends and Teachers is a great way to temporarily take your mind off your A Level work. Many of the friendships that your form in Sixth Form will be with you for life! What's more, those memories of great school trips or the achievement of winning the Public Speaking Award will never be forgotten.
